| Shane has inspired me to post a real post... knowing not many people really use this anymore... but o'thee'well... Alright. Go. I guess I should start summer 2007. I was sitting about minding my own business at work, which at the time was a small pizza place, and I happened to look over to my left and there where my bosses testicles inching ever so near my shoulder. At this point in my life I thought to myself I really should take my self and find myself a place to go to college. I have been thinking about this option for quite some time, and have decided to at least get enrolled in a college before my insurance ran out so I didn't have to pay for medical bills for the next 4 years minimum. After hanging out with Jeff, Nate and Ryan all summer and moving into the fall I had to make up my mind soon. I have alway had an interest in the culinary field, specifically, making at the very least, something aesthetically pleasing with my hands. So after hearing of my friend Zac's current choice in college career I decided that I would join him in The Prov. I saddle up and move down at the beginning of winter expecting to have a great time and to learn something new along the way. I never did much baking and pastry work, but had a decent amount of experience over an open flame, where I thought I would be having a great time. For the rest of the school year I had a great time met a lot of very cool people and learned a lot about the B&P industry. I have no regrets about my choice as a seventeen year old. That summer I had a very wonderful time returning to work as a counselor in a camp I love so well. I had worked it out that I could return to my camp to work as a Junior (unit) canoe instructor. I arrived and had nostalgia running through my veins. I arrived on the 1st of June, during pre-camp ready to help out. I went through the summer had, now, the second best summer of my life under my belt. The first is still the year before this one. I had a couple run-ins with trouble, I was unfortunetly driving a car when it died; I was driving through a puddle and the engien went. I delt with this very poorly to be honest. End of summer; back to The Prov. I decided to move in with my friends in an appartment, one I was paying rent for and wasen't living in for my days at camp. I arrive and everything is dandy! I am going to school, working, hanging out with a couple of my good friends and everything was great. This went on for only a short while though as right now I am still living in their appartment. One of my roomates, which is by far the best of my roommates, doesn't even live here right now due to problems with his car. A while back for some reason there was some pent-up agression twords me and they decided to take it out on me because of minisule requests or actions that I have done. No big deal, they just need to learn to be more respectful, say for Jeff, he's still a friend. I'm planning on moving up to maine next year finnishing up my degree up there and moving over to education. DON'T ROOM WITH YOUR FRIENDS. How shane reminded me of this whole story, his experiances with the same problem years ago. Hopefully I can make-up with my friends as shane did with doug-chris. Next time: Like a year from now. |
